Right of residence and hiring of a seafarer

The Maritime Affairs administration does not have the authority to check the compliance of an employee’s administrative situation with regard to the right of residence. This is a matter for the departments of the French Ministry for Home and Overseas, in particular the regional directorates for the economy, employment, labour and solidarity (DREETS).
