La flotte du RIF franchit le seuil de 400 navires
La semaine dernière, la flotte du Registre International Français (RIF) a franchi la barre symbolique de 400 navires qui battent pavillon français.
Mercredi 21 : le guichet unique du RIF a enregistré le méthanier "Lech Kaczyński Knutsen" livré à Knutsen LNG France après son achèvement au chantier naval d’Ulsan (Corée du Sud). Avec une longueur hors tout de 299 mètres et une capacité de 174 000 m3, c’est le 4ème méthanier à rejoindre le RIF en 2022. Ce navire est affrété par le groupe gazier polonais PGNiG SA.
Jeudi 22 : c’était au tour du "Canopée", 1er cargo à propulsion vélique de rejoindre la flotte sous pavillon français. Ce navire de 121 mètres, propriété de JIFMAR GUYANE, sera affrété par Alizés pour transporter la fusée Ariane 6 (ArianeGroup) de l’Europe vers sa base de lancement de Kourou (Guyane française). Le "Canopée" va être équipé de 4 ailes articulées qui permettront de réduire sa consommation de carburant de 30 % grâce à l’énergie du vent.
Avec le RIF, la flotte française a le vent en poupe et participe à la décarbonation du transport maritime.

Wednesday 21 : the RIF office registered the LNG carrier "Lech Kaczyński Knutsen" delivered to Knutsen LNG France after its completion in Ulsan (South Korean yard). With an overall lenght (LOA) of 299 meters and its capacity of 174,000 m3, she is the 4th LNG carrier to join the RIF in 2022. This MV is chartered by the Polish gas group PGNiG SA.
Thursday 22 : It was the turn of the "Canopée", the first cargo ship to be powered by wind, to join the fleet under the French flag. This 121-meter vessel, owned by JIFMAR Guyane, will be chartered by Alizés to transport the Ariane 6 rocket (ArianeGroup) from Europe to French Guyana ! The "Canopée" will be engineered with 4 articulated wings that will reduce its fuel consumption by 30% thanks to wind energy.
With the RIF, the French flag has the wind in its sails and takes its share in the decarbonization of shipping.
